Why We’re Different
Why choose organic natural cotton baby clothes?
Gentler on babies & on the planet
The cotton used in large factory-scale clothing production tends to be genetically modified and laden with chemicals that are harsh – both on the environment and on our skin. To make matters worse, this contaminated water is often returned to waterways after production, harming delicate ecosystems in the sea and on the shore.
Bunya Cottage and our suppliers at Fibre for Good are wholly committed to creating baby clothes that are gentler, both ecologically and dermatologically. Made from only premium Organic Natural Colour Cotton (ONCC), Fibre For Good’s range of natural cotton baby clothes offers endless benefits:
Where does our cotton come from?
A sustainable supply chain
We endorse Fibre For Good because its cotton is sourced ethically. Each year, before farmers begin to sow, Fibre For Good agrees on an up-front cost for the future crop. This amount is always paid, even if there is less crop yielded that year.
Regenerative farming techniques
The cotton comes from northern China, within the fertile Hexi Corridor, where the same families have farmed for generations. There, the farming is carried out regeneratively, with livestock managing pests and fertilising the soil.
Quality is always assured
Although ONCC crops are more expensive than large-scale conventionally harvested cotton, the end product speaks for itself. It’s always high quality, totally organic, chemical free and leaves farmers happier and healthier than the average commercial cotton farmer.
